Enchantresses follow the goddess Siren and aim to bring her alluring song to the people, performing themselves in the hope that the goddess’s song comes through. Despite the female-focused name, the order is not female only. The male version is Enchanter.
The enchantress is a deific order of the cleric class.
Limit Breaks (Su)
At 1st level, the enchantress receives the Limit Breaks (Enthralling Song and Siren’s Saint).
Enthralling Song (Su): This Limit Break allows an enchantress to tap into her goddess’s divine voice and let out a song so beautiful, so enthralling, that those around her can do nothing to harm her. All enemies within 30 feet must make a Will save (DC 10 + half of the cleric’s level + her Charisma modifier). If they fail, for a duration of 1 round plus 1 per four cleric levels after 1st, they must use any and all actions they can to aid or protect the enchantress, chosen at use of this ability. This is a mind affecting ability.
Siren’s Saint (Su): This Limit Break allows an enchantress to tap into the greatest saint of her deity, Ultros, and use his power to defend herself with vicious force. The enchantress may make an attack roll on every enemy within 30 feet, using her Wisdom instead of Strength or Dexterity to hit, and the damage die is treated as if the enchantress has the Improved Unarmed Strike of a black belt of the same level, increasing appropriately, and adding her Charisma modifier to damage.
An enchantress performs songs from her songbook, in which are drawn from the bard song list. Unlike mages or other clerics, enchantresses keep a written account of her songs in her songbook. An enchantress begins play with 3 1st level songs of her choice. The enchantress also selects a number of additional 1st-level songs equal to her Wisdom modifier to add to her songbook. Each time a character attains a new cleric level, she gains two songs of her choice to add to her songbook. The two free songs must be of song levels she can perform. But like mages, the enchantress can also purchase songs for her songbook.
To learn or perform a song, an enchantress must have a Wisdom score equal to at least 10 + the song level (Wis 11 for 1st-level songs, Wis 12 for 2nd-level songs, and so forth). The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against an enchantress’s song is 10 + the song’s level + her Wisdom modifier. In addition, an enchantress gains additional MP for having a high attribute (Wisdom—see Table: Bonus MP per Day (by Spell Level) on the MP System page).
Performing a song also requires the enchantress to make a Perform skill check of DC 10 + twice the song’s level in addition to spending MP. Failure in making the skill check still expends the MP cost of the song. All songs have a duration of one round + the enchantress’s Wisdom modifier and are dismissible with a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. The enchantress may do other things while the song duration is in effect, including other songs. Most songs have a radius of 30 feet, centered on the enchantress, unless otherwise stated. Wherever in a Song does it require Charisma, for the enchantress, replace it with Wisdom.
An enchantress adds either Perform (Sing) or Perform (String Instrument) to her list of class skills. In addition, she gains a bonus on Knowledge (Planes) skill checks equal to half her cleric level (minimum of 1).
An enchantress adds shortbows to her list of weapon proficiencies.
An enchantress gains access to two of the following domains: Chaos, Charm, Trickery, Water.
An enchantress gains the following abilities from her deity as she increases in level.
Enchanting Power (Su)
The enchantress has access to a power linked between her and Siren’s will. Allowing her to assist her allies, sing her songs and push forth the temptation of Siren. The enchantress can call upon these powers a number of times per day equal to 4 plus her Charisma modifier. Unless otherwise stated, each enchanting power costs one use.
Surefire Song (Su)
At 1st level, with this Enchanting Power, the enchantress can spend a swift action alongside the casting time of a Song gained from being an enchantress, to automatically pass the performance check needed.
Song of Faith (Su)
At 3rd level, as a free action, an enchantress can add her Wisdom modifier to her chosen perform skill in addition to her Charisma, for the purpose of performing songs gained from being an enchantress. Doing so costs one Enchanting power use.
Cross River Song (Su)
At 6th level, with this Enchanting Power, the enchantress can spend a swift action to extend the range of a Song gained from being an enchantress, by 30 feet per Enchanting Power spent. The enchantress can spend up to her Charisma modifier in one go using this ability.
Clarion Call (Su)
At 9th level, the enchantress can tap into Siren’s nature as the temptress of the depths, and to perform a song to affect undead normally immune to it. This costs one use of Enchanting Power and lasts for the duration of the song.
Ocean’s Lament (Su)
At 12th level, as a standard action, with this Enchanting Power, the enchantress’s song can call upon the depths itself to assault a foe. Targeting a 10 foot area, all creatures within the area must make a Reflex save (DC 10 + half of the cleric’s level + the enchantress’s Charisma modifier) or take 6d8 points of water damage and be thrown back 30 feet. The knockback is ignored and the damage halved on a successful Reflex save.
Servant of The Deep (Sp)
At 15th level, as a full-round action, with this Enchanting Power, the enchantress can summon a single water elemental to serve her. She can summon an elder water elemental, as per Summon Monster VIII spell.
Rainstep Dance (Su)
At 18th level, with this Enchanting Power, as a swift action, the enchantress can begin a rhythmic tapping that mirrors the heart of one in love. She declares one target, against which she gains both her Charisma and Wisdom modifiers as a bonus to her AC, and gains both modifiers to any songs that affect that target for a number of rounds equal to her Charisma modifier.
Beckoning of the End (Su)
At 20th level, the enchantress no longer stumbles over her songs at all, having mastered the voice of Siren herself. As a standard action, she may target an enemy within 30 feet and force them to make a Will save (DC 10 + half of the cleric’s level + her Charisma modifier). Failure implants the immense, unignorable desire to drown oneself in the nearest body of water. If unable to drown or can breathe underwater, the target stays in the water for up to 24 hours. If successful on the saving throw, the target is immune to any further attempts for the next 24 hours. In addition, the enchantress adds both her Wisdom and Charisma modifiers to determine the length of any songs performed.
