Now little more than a tourist location for the wealthy Shinra employees, its fate is but a grim reminder of Shinra’s expansion. Yet despite the pains and humiliation faced, there is a strong and stubborn resistance that refuses to be defeated, and it is these individuals that cling to the nation’s past glory and traditions that gives hope for a new future.
