This Burst Mode lets the shamaness within Zalera’s right wing begin to act independently, casting spells to support him. For a number of rounds equal to 1 + 1 round for every four HD, Zalera gains an additional standard action during each round, which can only be used to cast spells.
Once every 1d2+1 rounds as a standard action, Zalera tunes of shattering wills to all enemies within a 30 ft. radius of himself with a total HD that is a multiple of 3 must make a Will save (DC 28) or be inflicted with the Disabled status effect for 3d3 turns. Blue Mages may learn this ability as a 6th level spell (Knowledge: Planes DC 25).
Once every 1d3+1 rounds as a standard action, Zalera uses his dark magic to make healing effects harmful. All enemies within a 30 ft. radius of Zalera with a total HD that is a multiple of 4 must make a Will save (DC 28) or have healing effects damage them for 4d3 turns. Blue Mages may learn this as a 7th level spell (Knowledge: Planes DC 25).
Once every 1d4+1 rounds as a standard action, Zalera summons its companion to steal the souls of those within a 30 ft. radius of him. All creatures with a total HD that is a multiple of 5 must make a Fortitude save (DC 28) or die. Blue mages may learn this ability as a 6th-level spell (Knowledge: Religion DC 25).
