A familiar is an animal chosen by spellcaster with the Familiar feat or familiar class feature to aid him in his study of magic. A spellcaster may ever only have one familiar. See Familiars (and the Improved Familiar feat) for additional rules on using familiars. Some familiars can also have archetypes. The table below is the listing of FFd20 creatures that can be chosen as a familiar by spellcasters in addition to the familiar list on the Pathfinder SRD site.

If a familiar is dismissed, lost, or dies, it can be replaced 1 week later through a specialized ritual that costs 200 gil per caster level. The ritual takes 8 hours to complete.
