The PuPu are small blue aliens of vast technological advancements. It is unknown where they come from, but several groups of them have settled on the planet and prosper, selling/trading technology.

Standard Racial Traits

  • Ability Score Racial Traits: PuPu are quick and agile, while also smarter than they look. They gain +2 Dexterity and +2 Intelligence.
  • Type: PuPu are aberrations (humanoids).
  • Size: PuPu are Small creatures and thus gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –1 penalty to their Combat Maneuver Bonus and Combat Maneuver Defense, and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.
  • Base Speed: PuPu have a base speed of 20 feet.
  • Languages: PuPu begin play speaking Common and PuPon. PuPu with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: Draconic, Dwarven, Elvaan, Galkan, Giant, Goblin, and Sylvan. See the Linguistics skill page for more information about these languages.

Defense Racial Traits

  • Alien Mindset: The PuPu are too intelligent for their own good. They gain a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, illusions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects), antagonize, confusion, and berserk.

Feat and Skill Racial Traits

  • Technological Savant: PuPu gain a +2 racial bonus on Knowledge (Technology or Engineering) and Repair skill checks.
  • Technologist: PuPu gain the Technologist feat at 1st level.

Senses Racial Traits

  • Darkvision: PuPu can see perfectly in the dark up to 60 feet.

Alternate Racial Traits

The following alternate racial traits may be selected in place of one or more of the standard racial traits above. Consult your GM before selecting any of these new options.

  • Ace Pilot: Some PuPu are especially Talented in piloting their spacecraft. They gain the Airship Operation feat and gain a +2 racial bonus on Pilot and Navigation skill checks. This racial trait replaces technological savant and technologist.
  • Limited Telepathy: There are PuPu that have a gift to connect to other beings with their minds, these PuPu are able to mentally communicate with any creature within 30 feet with whom they share a language. This racial trait replaces technologist.
  • Planetary Adaptation: As space travelers, PuPu have lived on very different Planets and atmospheres. They gain fire resistance 5, ice resistance 5, and wind resistance 5. This racial trait replaces alien mindset.

Favored Class Options

The following favored class options are available to all characters of this race who have the listed favored class, and unless otherwise stated, the bonus applies each time you select the favored class reward.

  • Black Mage: The black mage gains +1/6th of a mage talent.
  • Engineer: Add +1/2 bonus to Craft skill checks.
  • Gunbreaker: Add +1/6 of a new gunbreaker talent.
  • Gunner: The gunner reduces the amount of time needed to restore a broken firearm using the Gunsmithing feat by 5 minutes (maximum reduction of 50 minutes).
  • Medic: The medic gains +1/6 of a new medical practice.
  • Thief: The thief gains +1/6 of a new thief talent.
  • Time Mage: Add 1/6 of a temporal talent. (One additional temporal talent for every six times you select this option.)
