Meowskateers are smooth-talking palicos with a distinct accent, usually wearing a cavalier’s hat, a belt with a sword, a small black cape, and small boots. They often use their cute natures to distract opponents. In the hands of a trained warrior, a well-sharpened blade is deadly regardless of size. A meowskateer moves in close, using her size and skill as an advantage.

The meowskateer is an archetype of the fencer class, available only to palico fencers.

Prerequisite

The meowskateer must have the non-threatening and claws racial traits.

Underfoot Assault (Ex)

At 1st level, if a foe whose size is larger than the meowskateer’s is adjacent to her and misses her with a melee attack, the meowskateer can, as an immediate action, move 5 feet into an area of the attacker’s space. This movement does not count against the meowskateer’s movement the next round, and it doesn’t provoke attacks of opportunity. While the meowskateer is within a foe’s space, she is considered to occupy her square within that foe’s space.

While the meowskateer is within her foe’s space, the foe takes a –4 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks not made against the meowskateer, and all of the meowskateer’s allies that are adjacent to both the foe and the meowskateer are considered to be flanking the foe. The meowskateer is considered to be flanking the foe whose space she is within if she is adjacent to an ally who is also adjacent to the foe. The meowskateer can move within her foe’s space and leave the foe’s space unhindered and without provoking attacks of opportunity, but if the foe attempts to move to a position where the meowskateer is no longer in its space, the movement provokes an attack of opportunity from the meowskateer, even if its just a 5-foot step.

This ability replaces parry and riposte (einhander).

Quick Steal (Ex)

At 1st level, as a swift action, when the meowskateer hits a foe larger than her size with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon to attempt a steal combat maneuver check against the creature she hits. Using this ability does not provoke an attack of opportunity. In addition, she gains a +2 competence bonus on Sleight of Hand checks to steal + an additional +2 per four fencer levels after 1st.

This ability replaces off-hand balance (einhander).

Cute Kitten Pose (Su)

At 3rd level, as a move action, the meowskateer can strike a pose to emphasis her cute looks towards an enemy within 30 feet. The target must make a Will save (DC 10 + half her fencer level + her Charisma modifier) or be fascinated for 1 round per fencer level, if the target makes the save, he is instead considered flat-footed to the meowskateer for the next round.

This ability replaces charmed life.

Vicious Claws (Ex)

At 4th level, a meowskateer with this ability can use her claws to make a precise strike and uses d8s to roll precise strike damage instead of d6s, but only when she uses her claws to make the precise strike.

This ability modifies precise strike.

Hamstring (Ex)

At 8th level, when the meowskateer hits a foe whose size is larger than her own with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon, she can as a swift action attempt a dirty trick combat maneuver check. Instead of the normal conditions that can be applied with dirty trick, this ability can only stagger the target if the check is successful.

This ability replaces fleet-footed.

Cat’s Charge (Ex)

At 9th level, when meowskateer charges a foe whose size is larger than her own, the meowskateer can end her charge in any space she can reach, not just the closest space. All other requirements of the charge must still be satisfied.

This ability replaces elaborate defense.
