Starting at 2nd level, a dragoon gains one dragoon talent. He gains one additional dragoon talent for every 2 dragoon levels attained after 2nd. Unless otherwise noted, a dragoon cannot select an individual dragoon talent more than once.

Acrobatic Recovery (Ex)A dragoon with this talent can stand up from a prone position as a free action. This still provokes attacks of opportunity for standing up while threatened by a foe; the dragoon may attempt an Acrobatics skill check against his opponent's CMD with a +10 DC to negate it.
Additional Dragon's Breath Element (Ex)Dragon's Breath class featureA dragoon with this talent can select an additional element (be it earth, fire, ice, lightning, water, or wind) to use for his Dragon's Breath ability. The dragoon may select this talent multiple times, allowing him to select an additional element to choose from each time.
Aerial Takedown (Ex)Deadly Lancer class featureA dragoon with this talent treats his high jump distance as a dive attack's altitude difference (see Deadly Lancer class feature) when directly attacking airborne creatures.
Acrobatic Maneuvers (Ex)A dragoon with this talent gains a +1 bonus for every two dragoon levels he possesses to his Acrobatics skill check when jumping through threatened squares.
Agile Finish (Ex)Deadly Lancer class featureA dragoon with this talent gains a +1 dodge bonus to his AC for every three dice of Deadly Lancer damage he inflicts. This effect lasts for 1 round.
Combat FeatA dragoon who selects this talent gains a bonus combat feat. This talent may be taken only once.
Crater (Ex)Deadly Lancer class featureA dragoon with this talent that hits a creature with his dive attack which deals Deadly Lancer damage may cause all ground within 5 feet of that creature to become difficult terrain for a number of rounds equal to half his dragoon level. The dragoon may select this talent multiple times to allow him to enlarge the area by an additional 5 feet.
Deep Breathing (Ex)Dragon's Breath class featureA dragoon with this talent may breath a 30 foot cone or line of his selected Dragon's Breath element.
Enhanced Dragon Sight (Ex)Dragon Sight class featureA dragoon with this talent enhances his Dragon Sight ability. While his Dragon Sight ability is active, among his usual benefits, he suppresses any Blinded or Dimmed status effects on him. Additionally, Dragon Sight bestows him the ability to see the auras of living creatures, effectively allowing him to discern the living from the nonliving (undead or constructs).
Enemy Step (Ex)Wall Jumping class featureA dragoon with this talent allows him to treat corporeal creatures at least one size larger than him as walls when using the Wall Jumping class feature.
Fighter Training (Ex)A dragoon with this talent counts half his total dragoon level as his fighter level for the purpose of qualifying for feats. If he has levels in fighter, these levels stack.
Flexible Flanker (Ex)A dragoon with this talent may choose any square adjacent to him and treat that square as his location for determining who he is flanking, even if that square is occupied by a creature, object, or solid barrier.
Flowing Lancer (Ex)The dragoon moves through combat as if made of water. A dragoon with this talent can use his Dexterity modifier instead of his Strength modifier for melee attack rolls with spears, lances, or polearms.
Glide (Ex)Deadly Lancer class featureA dragoon with this talent gains 5 feet of horizontal range for every 5 feet of altitude achieved for his dive attack.
Evasive Jump (Ex)Elusive Jump class featureA dragoon with this talent increases his maximum long jump distance with the Elusive Jump class feature from 15 feet to 20 feet. Additionally, the dragoon is treated as if he possesses the Evasion class feature while using his Elusive Jump class feature.
Landing Impact (Ex)Deadly Lancer class featureCreatures adjacent to the dragoon’s landing from a dive attack fall prone. A successful Reflex save negates this effect (DC: 10 + the number of Deadly Lancer dice inflicted).
Phalanx Fighting (Ex)A dragoon with this talent gains proficiency in shields (except tower shields) and when he wields a shield, he can use any polearm or spear of his size as a one-handed weapon. The dragoon loses the benefits of his shield should he attack two-handed with his polearm or spear for that round.
Pinpoint Lancer (Ex)The dragoon attacks his enemies with pinpoint accuracy over brute force. A dragoon with this talent can use his Dexterity modifier instead of his Strength modifier for melee damage rolls with spears, lances, or polearms.
Pole Fighting (Ex)As an immediate action, a dragoon can shorten the grip on his spear, lance, or polearm with reach and use it against adjacent targets. While under this effect, this removes the reach special feature from the weapon. The dragoon can spend another immediate action to return to the normal grip.
Predatory Pounce (Ex)Deadly Lancer class featureA dragoon with this talent that uses his Deadly Lancer class feature on a target that is flat-footed, he uses d8s instead of d6s.
Shaft Trip (Ex)A dragoon with this talent gains the Improved Trip feat even if he does not meet the prerequisites, and treats spears, lances, and polearms as trip weapons.
Shellbreaker (Ex)Deadly Lancer class feature, Dragoon 6After dive attacking a creature, its DR of all types is reduced by an amount equal to half the number of Deadly Lancer dice inflicted for one round (minimum 1).
Sonic Thrust (Ex)Deadly Lancer class featureA dragoon with this talent may choose to divert the force of his long jump attack to instead assault the creatures behind his target. After traveling at least 10 feet as part of a long jump attack, the dragoon may divert the Deadly Lancer bonus damage that would be inflicted as a 15 foot cone originating from that target, being oriented in the same direction as his attack. Targets within the area of effect take Deadly Lancer damage as slashing damage, with a Reflex save (DC: 10 + half of the dragoon's level + his Strength modifier) halving the damage.
Spear Brace (Ex)Phalanx Fighting dragoon talentA dragoon with this talent learns to brace a polearm or spear on an equipped shield, to aid in handling and fighting with it. This allows the dragoon to maintain his shield bonus to AC even while fighting two-handed with his polearm or spear.
Springing Charge (Ex)Dragoon 6When the dragoon long jumps a distance of 10 or more feet using a charge action, he may move after the attack, but the dragoon’s total distance that he can move cannot be greater than his speed. The dragoon uses Acrobatics skill checks to move through threatened squares in this manner at full speed without the imposed +10 DC modifier. The dragoon cannot use this ability to attack a foe that is adjacent to him at the start of his turn.
Springing Dive (Ex)Deadly Lancer class featureThis talent allows the dragoon to, after successfully delivering a successful dive attack, subtract a number of Deadly Lancer dice from his damage to position himself farther away from his target. For every Deadly Lancer die subtracted, the dragoon gains an additional 5 feet of distance he may land away from his target. The square he lands in still must be within his dive attack landing distance limit.
Tactical Drop (Ex)Deadly Lancer class featureA dragoon with this talent may choose to not deal extra damage from Deadly Lancer on his dive attack, allowing him to make a free trip, bull rush, sunder, or disarm combat maneuver check upon a successful hit. This combat maneuver does not provoke attacks of opportunity, with it receiving the circumstance attack bonus gained from any altitude differences. The dragoon still deals his normal damage on this attack.
Wheeling Thrust (Ex)Dragoon 6A dragoon with this talent may deliver all of his available attacks with a polearm or spear as a single, powerful thrust. When the dragoon uses a full-attack action to make multiple attacks with a polearm or spear that deals piercing damage against the same opponent, he totals the damage from all his hits before applying that opponent’s damage reduction. The dragoon suffers a -5 penalty to confirm critical hits during this period.
