Lore

Ifrit, also called Jinn and Iflyte, is an infernal being of fire and war is often seen as an evil god due to his aesthetic and disposition to war, though Ifrit holds a mostly neutral stance within his duties. Controlling the creation and use of fire, Ifrit is the god who creates as well as activates volcanoes within worlds in his domain, alongside fire he also oversees war, even inciting war when worlds have grown too peaceful to allow for proper evolution or progress.

His most commonly known attacks are Hellfire that is often called Inferno or Flames of Hell, Flaming Crush, and Meteor Strike. He teaches the Fire lines of spells, and sometimes Drain-style magic. He focuses on Constitution and Strength, while being related to Berserk, Haste, and Protect.

As a major element holder, Ifrit may emerge within the form of an elemental Crystal to balance the world or universe, his is a red Crystal. Though his powers can also emanate from topazes, gifted to young born in the month of November.

Relationships

Ifrit has a distinct dislike for Shiva, often fighting her whenever he is close or even destroying her works. Many worlds are damaged or destroyed due to their conflicts, though more times than not this is sparked by Ifrit.

1At times, Ifrit works alongside the other deities. Most notably, where Ramuh protects written knowledge in the possession of mortals, Ifrit is charged with burning the books possessed by monsters which in turn causes many sentient books and bookshelves to be frightened by the deity.

Ifrit holds relationships with Firebrand, Rubicante, and Vulcan.

Appearance

Shown as a huge hulking humanoid, Ifrit takes on many forms that show him to be similar to that of a Demon, with large horns, elongated arms and fangs. Able to change his form like many other gods, Ifrit has been both man and beast in his visits to sentient kind, often showing an intimidating display of power and ferocity.

Incarnations of Ifrit include Belias, Neo Ifrit, Dark Ifrit, Affrite, and Ifreeta.

Realm

Ifrit lives in the Plane of Fire but will often commute to fiery locations within the material plane such as volcanoes and lava pits.

Followers

Followers of Ifrit generally follow him in hopes that he does not punish them for a lack of faith, or to utilize his mastery of fire to aid in their life.

Race: Amalj’aa are the main species to worship Ifrit, while Ifrit typically has a stern hatred for Humes.

Class: While many casters who follow Ifrit are Black Mages who specialise in fiery magics, he has oft been called upon by White Mages who change his wrath into the burning and cauterisation of wounds. Non-casters typically are of melee vocations such as Warrior and Berserker.

Traits: Affinity for the Elements

Rites

Ifrit takes a fancy to Bomb Fragments and Fire Fangs (Red Fangs), when summoners or devotees place these within an altar they are often set alight to commune with the Lord of Flames. When the items are burned to ash the commune is cut.

Placing three Shiva idols made of ice or snow within a ring of fire can cause Ifrit to appear, conversing with those who conduct the rite. When the idols are fully melted he will disappear.
