A t-rexaur wrangler speaks for the spirit of prehistoric nature, even taking the form of great beasts of legend.

The t-rexaur wrangler is an archetype of the druid class.

Limited Dino Prowess

A t-rexaur wrangler’s base attack bonus decreases by one step (from 3/4th BAB to 1/2 BAB). Also decreases t-rexaur wrangler’s hit dice from d8 to d6. In addition, the t-rexaur wrangler’s Fortitude save progression becomes poor. However, with natural attacks from wild shape or racial traits, her BAB increases to full.

Limited Spellcasting

A t-rexaur wrangler loses access to 7th through 9th level spells and has a lower Base MP as noted below.

Creatures within the area of effect take 8d6 points of earth damage and are inflicted with the Weighted status effect for 1d6 rounds (Reflex save DC 10 + half of its hit dice + its Constitution modifier) for half damage and negates the status effect). Blue mages may learn this ability as a 4th level spell (Knowledge: Arcana DC 23).

This ability alters nature’s bond and replaces a druidic talent gained at 14th level.

Dinosaur Magic (Su)

At 3rd level, all of the t-rexaur wrangler’s spells gain a +2 to their DC when she targets dinosaurs.

This ability replaces trackless step.

Primeval Voice (Su)

This ability replaces resist nature’s lure.

Gift of the Saurian (Su)

At 4th level and every four druid levels thereafter, the t-rexaur wrangler is granted a special supernatural gift. The t-rexaur wrangler can choose her gift from the list below; she may select a gift more than once and its effects stack with identical gifts, but not with bonuses the t-rexaur wrangler might receive from other abilities.

  • Enhance Wild Shape: The t-rexaur wrangler can use her wild shape ability one additional time each day, or can assume a new form that is one size category larger than her prior limit (maximum of Gargantuan).
  • Frenzy of the Saurian: The t-rexaur wrangler gains a +2 morale bonus to damage with unarmed or natural attacks.
  • Scent of the Saurian: The t-rexaur wrangler gains the Scent ability.
  • Skin of the Saurian: The t-rexaur wrangler gains a +1 natural armor bonus. This stacks with any natural armor bonus the t-rexaur wrangler gains from wildshape.
  • Vigor of the Saurian: The t-rexaur wrangler’s Constitution modifier is doubled when determining hit points for the level when she gains this gift.

This ability replaces homefield advantage.

Dinosaur Shape (Su)

At 5th level, a t-rexaur wrangler specializes in assuming the form of dinosaurs when using wild shape. When she assumes the form of a dinosaur via wild shape, she gains a +2 size bonus to her Constitution in addition to the other modifiers granted by beast shape. When she uses wild shape to assume the form of a creature other than a dinosaur, the wild shape effect lasts for only 1 minute per level, rather than 1 hour per level.

This ability alters wild shape.

Savagery (Su)

At 8th level, the t-rexaur wrangler has drifted far from civilization and has started to take on some of the more bestial personality traits of her beloved t-rexaur. She suffers a –2 circumstance penalty to Diplomacy, and Perform checks, but gains a +2 circumstance bonus to wild empathy checks against dinosaurs and to all Intimidate checks.

Savagery grants a +2 competence bonus to any damage the t-rexaur wrangler deals with unarmed or natural attacks.

A t-rexaur wrangler with savagery who wild shapes into dinosaur form becomes a stronger and more savage dinosaur than normal, gaining a +2 enhancement bonus to one of the following: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, or natural armor. This is in addition to the +2 morale bonus to damage with natural attacks.

This ability replaces nature’s armor.

Thunderous Roar (Su)

At 14th level, the t-rexaur wrangler gains the ability to unleash a deafening roar as a move action once per day. All creatures within a radius of 30 ft. of the t-rexaur wrangler level are deafened for 1 minute and stunned for 1 round. Creatures in the area of effect can negate the stunning and half the duration of the deafness with a successful Fortitude save (DC 10 + half of the druid’s level + her Wisdom modifier).

This ability replaces path of trees.

Improved Savagery (Su)

At 15th level, all bonuses gained from savagery are doubled. Additionally, the t-rexaur wrangler is no longer rendered unconscious when reduced to negative hit points; rather, she can make one swift action per round until she dies or is healed back to positive hit points. The t-rexaur wrangler does continue to bleed at the rate of one hit point per round until her wounds are stabilized. If she is stabilized but remains at negative hit points, taking anything more than a swift action aggravates the wounds, and she begins dying again.

This ability replaces a thousand faces.
