In darkness blooms the Spider Lily. These worshipers of Tsukiyomi work in the moonlight as agents of the night, courtesans, shinobi, and kunoichis. They work to protect sacred sanctuaries of the dead, and protect travelers in the night, or deal death under the pale moonlight. These missions are carried out generally in secret. In some cases the clergy is even paid as protectors, or assassins however they do not take any such job, as they must fit a certain criteria.
The spider lily is a deific order of the cleric class.
Limit Breaks (Su)
At 1st level, the spider lily receives the Limit Breaks (Anti-Twilight and Nightbloom).
Anti-Twilight (Su): This Limit Break envelopes the area in a mix of darkness, and pale moonlight in a 30ft radius around the spider lily. The spider lily and her allies within radius are healed for 2d6 damage plus 1d6 damage per four cleric levels after 1st. Enemies in the area of effect must make a Will save (DC 10 + half of her cleric level + her Charisma modifier) or be confused for 1 round plus 1 round per four cleric levels after 1st.
Nightbloom (Su): This Limit Break makes the spider lily invisible for a duration of 1 round + 1 round per four cleric levels after 1st. While invisible, the spider lily can make attacks as normal and remain invisible. The spider lily also receives a +1d6 sneak attack bonus + an additional 1d6 per four cleric levels after 1st while under this Limit Break. This limit break requires only a swift action.
Spells
A spider lily performs ninjutsus which are drawn from the ninjutsu spell list.
To perform a ninjutsu, the ninja must have a Wisdom score equal to at least 10 + the ninjutsu level (Wis 11 for 1st-level ninjutsus, Wis 12 for 2nd-level ninjutsus, and so forth). Unlike spells, ninjutsus only require somatic gestures (typically mudra hand gestures) to cast. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a ninja’s ninjutsu is 10 + the ninjutsu level + the ninja’s Wisdom modifier. In addition, a spider lily gains additional MP for having a high attribute (Wisdom).
Class Skills
A spider lily adds Stealth to her list of class skills. In addition, she gains a bonus on Sense Motive checks equal to half her cleric level.
Favored Weapon
A spider lily adds Wakizashi and Shurikens to her list of weapon proficiencies.
Domains
A spider lily gains access to two of the following domains: Darkness, Death, Shadow, Trickery.
Deity Abilities
A spider lily gains the following abilities from her deity as she increases in level.
Sneak Attack (Su)
At 1st level, if a spider lily can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage.
The spider lily’s attack deals extra precision damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the spider lily flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every 3 cleric levels thereafter. If she gains the sneak attack ability from another source, the bonuses stack. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet.
With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (such as a sap, unarmed strike, or whip), a spider lily can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack—not even with the usual –4 penalty.
The spider lily must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A spider lily cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with total concealment.
Dance of the Dead (Su)
At 3rd level, the spider lily is as nimble as flowing petals in the moonlight, dashing across the battlefield to deliver quick, and silent strikes from the darkness. She gains a number of abilities befitting this style. These abilities do no provoke attacks of opportunity.
- As Petals Pale (Ex): With an immediate action, the spider lily can recover from being knocked prone, moving 5 feet away from the attacker, and standing up.
- Dark Dash (Su): With a swift action, the spider lily may move at half movement speed in any direction, leaving behind a mirage of herself, this may be done even while airborne.
- Midnight Haze (Ex): With a move action, the spider lily may jump to any adjacent square of an adjacent enemy.
- Midnight Rain (Ex): When using divine combat, she can replace the spell, or the free melee attack with a ranged attack with a thrown weapon. This can be used to make a ranged attack with a thrown weapon, and a free melee attack, or cast a spell with a free ranged attack with a thrown weapon. This otherwise works as divine combat.
