End of month update, enjoy.

Classes

  • Aetherial Tactician (Prestige Class): Aetherial Tacticians don’t simply plan a battle; they manifest their will upon it, weaving the very fabric of the Lifestream or ambient magical energy to dictate the flow of combat. They are the ultimate puppet masters, seeing beyond the immediate clash of steel and spell to perceive the unseen currents that govern fortune and misfortune.
  • Elite Lancer (Prestige Class): Deleted, some of its features were melded with the Deadly Lancer AT of Chocobo Knight.

Archetypes

  • Chronologist (New Scholar archetype): The chronologist transcends mere academia to become a living conduit of temporal knowledge. Unlike other scholars focused on dusty tomes, the chronologist delves directly into the fabric of time itself almost as good as a time mage. Their mastery of divination isn’t limited to scrying distant lands; it allows them to glimpse the echoes of the past, foretell potential futures, and perceive the intricate causal chains that bind events. This temporal insight grants them an unparalleled tactical advantage, enabling them to anticipate enemy movements, uncover forgotten secrets, or discern the most opportune moment for action. Coupled with their burgeoning command over chronomancy, a chronologist can subtly twist or accelerate the flow of time around themselves and their allies, manifest spells that slow foes to a crawl, or even momentarily rewind a minor misstep. They are not just historians, but active participant-observers in the grand tapestry of causality, constantly analyzing the “when,” “how,” and “why” of existence. For a chronologist, time is not a linear progression, but a vast, navigable archive, making them invaluable strategists and unparalleled sources of information for any party venturing into the annals of history.
  • Evoker (Summoner archetype): Deleted. But was remade with new abilities.
  • Monstrous Shifter (Blue Mage archetype): Deleted.
  • Shinigami (New Samurai archetype): Shinigamis are guardians of the souls who are going through the circle of transmigration. In ancient times, they were known as Balancers. They purify Hollows who do evil in the World of the Living and ensure the safe crossing of souls – the Pluses who have lost their way after death – by giving them a soul burial.
  • Sky Samurai (New Samurai archetype): Some warriors find strength not upon the earth, but in the skies above. Sky samurais master the art of aerial motion, building momentum through graceful flight before striking with swift and devastating force. Their blades cut through the heavens guided by wind, will, and the weightless calm before the final blow.
  • Stellarian (New Astrologian archetype): The stars guide the planets with gravity, create life with light and heat, and utterly consume worlds in supernovas and black holes. The stellarian understands that these acts of creation and destruction are not opposites, but rather two parts of a natural, dualistic cycle. The stellarian seeks to be an agent of that cycle, an enlightened warrior with the ability to manipulate the forces of the stars themselves. Constantly accompanied by a mote of fundamental energy or entropy, the stellarian can shape this essence in combat to create weapons and armor of gleaming stellar light or pure, devouring darkness. Whether he apprenticed in a temple or came to his powers through personal revelation, the stellarian recognizes himself as part of an ancient tradition—a force of preservation and annihilation.
