New beastman tribe races and a couple of new archetypes. Enjoy.

Races

  • Amal’j’aa (New Beastman Tribe Race): The amal’j’’aa are tall with a muscular physique, and have a very martial culture. Fitting their worship of Ifrit, enemy Amal’j’aa specialize in fire-based skills, such as Enfire. They possess general knowledge of metalworking, and have been known to tame fire drakes. – Created by DM Liefried
  • Gria (Base Race): Added a new racial beastmaster archetype, the Dragoner.
  • Namazu (New Beastman Tribe): The namazus are a short, chubby, catfish-like beast tribe native to Othard. Unlike most beastmen races, they are not associated with any known primal (though Namazu worship a fish-like entity known as “”the Big One,”” there is no evidence it has ever been summoned as a primal), though their belief in the kami suggests that they worship Susano and Tsukuyomi. They have a habit of repeating their affirmations (i.e., “”yes, yes””) and make squeaking sounds as they walk. Tea is a known intoxicant to the Namazus, making Xaela tea ceremonies difficult for them to perform. Created by DM Liefried and Kuro.
  • Viera (Base Race): Added a FCB for Summoner.

Classes

All combat talents from all classes (Except fighter) have been moved to basic talents or have their prerequisites removed with the caveat that it could be selected once.

  • Archer (Core Class): Replaced Penetrating Shot (15th) with Racking Critical. Added Piercing Shot to the list of Archery Talents.
  • Bard (Core Class): Added Bardic Inspiration to song talents.
  • Black Mage (Core Class): Metamagic Enhancement reduced to 3 times per day.
  • Black Belt (Hybrid Class): Clarified wording on Shrug It Off to only affect physical damage. Removed Aggressive Defense and Improved Tough Skin talents. Added Long-Time Grudge and Never-Ending Grudge to the list of martial art talents. – Suggested by NapazTrix. Added Leather Skin and Iron Skin talents. Added Prizefighter’s Spirit to the list of martial art talents
  • Dancer (Hybrid Class): Battle Dance can now inspire competence at 3rd level like a bard.
  • Fencer (Hybrid Class): Piercing Blow lunge technique changed.
  • Gunbreaker (Hybrid Class): Added Antagonistic Personality, Offensive Verbage, Quick Insult, and Threat Control to gunbreaker talents.
  • Knight (Core Class): Added Threat Control (1st). Added Antagonistic Personality, Offensive Verbage, and Quick Insult to knight talents. Added Improved Armored Defense and Counterstrike Stance as talents.
  • Medic (Base Class) Added Supernatural Treatment to the list of medical practices.
  • Red Mage (Core Class): Added Spell Power (4th).
  • SeeD Operative (Prestige Class): Drive is now a class skill.
  • Sword Saint (Hybrid Class): Added Antagonistic Personality, Offensive Verbage, Quick Insult, and Threat Control to sword saint talents.
  • White Mage (Core Class): Metamagic Enhancement reduced to 3 times per day.

Archetypes

  • Darter (New Ninja archetype): While most ninjas focus on beguiling their foes, inflicting status effects in excess, or being as stealthy as possible, the darter instead focuses on perfecting their throwing abilities. Created by NapazTrix
  • Dragoner (New Gria Beastmaster archetype): As some of the most ancient, powerful, and capricious creatures in existence, dragons occasionally enter into trysts with unsuspecting mortals or sire offspring with exceptional individuals. Likewise, the great power wielded by these creatures has long intrigued mages and chemists who have sought various magical methods to infuse their bodies with draconic power. As a result, the blood of dragons runs through the veins of the gria. For some, this heritage manifests as a power of their draconic ancestors that becomes an obsession.
  • Mystic Knight (Red Mage archetype): Added Mighty Swordskills (4th), replacing Spell Power.
  • Red Warrior (Red Mage archetype): Added Melee Power (4th), replacing Spell Power.
  • Thug (Black Belt archetype): Shrug it Off modified to +2 circumstance bonus to Intimidate checks, +4 if nonlethal damage is >= 50%. Removed the 75% nonlethal clause. Catch Off-Guard moved to 1st level, replacing Tough Skin. Made some edits to Shrug It Off.

Spells

  • Black Mage Spells: Sleep now only affects up to 4 HD. Sleepga now only affects up to a combined total of 10 HD. Sleepja now only affects 10 HD per creature but has no limit to the amount of creatures. Sleep, Sleepga, and Sleepja durations increased to 1 min./level. Removed Comet (4th), Cometra (6th) and Meteor (9th). Added Meltdown as a 6th level spell, replicating the same spell from Final Fantasy VIII. – Created by DeadKingKicker. Added Magi as a 9th level spell, replicating the spell/ability from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. – Created by Dual-Wielding Ninja.
  • Blue Magic Spells: Added Blast Shot (1st), Frostbolt (1st), Holybolt (1st), Terror Touch (1st), Ice Block (3rd), 100-Kuponze Swipe (4th), Cold Wave (4th),  Discord (4th), Hallowed Armor (4th), Rail Cannon (4th), Spinning Mogshield (4th), March of the Moogles (5th), Mog Eye Shot (6th), Pom Cure (6th), Pom Flare (6th), and Rocket Punch (7th). Altered wording for Choco Meteor to not reference the Meteor spell (Choco Meteor and Meteor are now functionally different spells).
  • Geomancer Spells: Removed Comet (4th), Cometra (6th) and Meteor (9th). Added Magi as a 9th level spell, replicating the spell/ability from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. – Created by Dual-Wielding Ninja.
  • Necromancer Spells: Added Meltdown as a 6th level spell, replicating the same spell from Final Fantasy VIII. – Created by DeadKingKicker.
  • Summoner Spells: Summon Iconic line of spells have been removed. Added Summon Minor Food and Water (Cantrip). Ultimate End changed to an auto-hit, deal 13d10+CHA non-elemental damage, and is now stopped by Spell Resistance.
  • Time Mage Spells: Added Comet (4th), and Meteor (9th). These spells function differently than they once did.
